Similarly:

"Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" is the only song to not get a vote for best lyrics. The votes for "Toxic" and "Into the Groove" I do not understand AT ALL.

Every song has been voted for best to dance to and worst cover, though why "West End Girls" for best to dance to I again do not understand at all.

Toxic has GREAT lyrics. Endless variations on a single idea (love is the drug), true, but that's exactly what I like about them.

The meter of the words also naturally fit the beat as well. (Contrast with the clumsiness of e.g. "either with or with A-choo" in "Don't You Want Me".)

The clumsiness in DYME works because the song is a guy cack-handedly trying to feel his way around why someone's breaking up from him. So it fits the mood, which is more important than fitting the beat sometimes. I don't think it's intentional, mind you: Phil Oakey and scansion were never particularly great mates.

I don't think Toxic has bad lyrics either.

I don't think it has bad lyrics, mind you, I just don't see why you would pick them over "Into the Groove" or "Billie Jean" or "Don't You Want Me".
