The penultimate qualifying groups - not much more to say other than go and vote in them!

Winners of the fifth batch include: Eminem's "Real Slim Shady" in the closest qualifying group ever (top vote - 15, bottom vote - 12); Kelis trouncing the opposition; "Vogue" squeaking past Chic, and the Spice Girls enjoying a late surge to take them past Gwen and Portishead.

Group Y: Like but not adore on all four, Kanye gets it cos I was listening to that track last night. May switch.

Group Z: Very uninspiring - not a big fan of "Time After Time" but it gets the tick here.

Group ALPHA: Four great tracks but "One More Time" is one of my top 5 ever, so yeah.

Group BETA: Prince track vs Prince-written track. "Corvette" gets it.

Man I was TOTALLY torn between MIA and Stardust. I went for MIA in the end because I thought that ppl would vote for Stardust anyway. But NOES I think I might have to change my vote, Stardust is better... BUT IS IT Argh.

Also tricky: Missy vs Dre&Tupac. Missy gets it for the "BEEP BEEP, WHO GOT THE KEYS TO THE JEEP? BRRRRRRRRM".

Y: Grace v Kanye GAAHHH!!!!! No way I can actively choose - was leaning towards Kanye for "Serena Trina Jennifer Lopez" but Grace is more the underdog. May well switch allegiance though I'd be happy with anything here going through, there are no evils.

Z: GAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! MIA v Stardust v Cyndi! Narrowed down to MIA and Cyndi even if "music sounds better with you" is the most romantic phrase I have ever heard in a pop song ever; going with MIA because 'Time After Time' has never been the soundtrack to an entire summer. If the White Stripes look at all like winning at any point I WILL switch.

Alpha: GAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Oh man these are all really really sodding hard. Pac v Missy? Pac v Missy? That piano versus that...everything? Everything beats piano, also Missy is funnier, also BEEP BEEP, who got the keys to my JEEP? Vrrrooommmm.

Beta: Thank the lord for an easy one. Gorgeous lovely 'Little Red Corvette'. Franz Ferdinand - get the fuck outta here bitches.

Y: No idea which way this is going to go.

Z: Stardust not polling as well as I'd expect yet - Cyndi could surge given how well this did in its Now poll.

Alph: Looks like clear win for Missy.

Bet: God knows! If I had to guess I'd say the Franz fans won't be as torn as others here, so they might get through.

Group Y - Like but not love all 4. "BOB" gets my tick here

Group Z - Came down to "Time After Time" v. White Stripes and, apologies to Lex, but I went with the Stripes. Very catchy and with a nice guitar and just seems to be more original and rare than "Time After Time"

Group ALPHA - Voted Daft Punk. Another like but not love group that features a mid tier Daft Punk single and a mid tier Missy single along with some good mid 90s rap. Meh.

Group BETA - The hardest group yet, I think. I seriously deliberated for ticking all 4 of these choices. All 10/10 songs, eek. I voted for "Little Red Corvette", one of my favorite (maybe my favorite) Prince singles
