Turn around & etc! Lyrically it pretty obviously POWER-DESPERATION but at the same time the chorus is sung very much as if it is the best thing ever to be living in a powderkeg, giving off sparks - what do you think?

Be prepared to hear a Westlife version of this burning up the charts in the near future. Interesting to see what insight into the song their version will provide!

Clearly it wouldn't be very pleasant, as it would involve the heart being entirely occluded by another organ, maybe a lung! Resolving this situation maybe why Bonnie is trying to bust a lung singing it.

One of the best songs ever. When I get round to writing my ultimate list this is going to be VERY HIGH UP INDEED. Jim Steinman = my hero (holding out for!).

YES all J Steinman's other energiser* ballads. However Bonnie's raspiness really does set it off wonderfully, like it HURTS her to sing it but she has NO CHOICE.

I love this song so much, I could bang on about it all day but I have WORK to do (curse you lj polls for making me tick this way). So I shall sum up

- It is the manager of Hits!TV's favourite 80s video
- Voted top power ballad of all time by err everyone
- The Westlife version is actually not bad (but not as good as Nikki French's 1995 version)
- The song is clearly about Bonnie falling in love, once upon a time, but now she is only falling apart and there is nothing she can do bcos 1x ECLIPSE has blocked out her heart, and she can NEVER LOVE AGAIN, despite turning around THRICE to summon her dead beau's SPIRIT and getting her hopes up, but now there is only love in the DARK ie w4nking. Bad luck Bon.
- In the video Bonnie is surrounded by MALE BALLET DANCERS and possessed choirboys, but she is actually the dean of the choirboy university and has to give them medals at the end, NO WONDER she is looking baffled...
