I actually feel like they were so consciously trying to rip that song off that they made a deliberate effort for it not to sound similar to EFIL, just have a similar "feel." The progression is definitely different (though it centers around the same intervals) and the great bar-breaking vocal line that made the chorus of the Buzzcocks song so great is now just a straight step, it just ends up at a similar place.

I feel that it deliberately references it, rather than ripping it off. It sounds a lot more like something else but I don't know what and it's driving me mad! Something by Cyndi Lauper, possibly but that's wrong... Blondie? I have no idea.

Overall, however, I like it. I have decided that I am definitely pro-Lil Chris.
