No particular gerrymandering this time so you get the full NINE picks. I left off some EPs (MBV's Glider, Ride's Smile) which I knew might have brought smiles to ageing Brit faces, but I figured the "I've heard of them" defense wouldn't really justify them being included when others weren't.

all things 808 state (year of ex:el?), Tremelo EP (MBV), WTiL, GROOVY TRAIN and WORLD IN MOTION = this year for me.

re 808: Cubik was released this year (in my Top 15 - to follow), but I think the ex:el LP was 1991. You're also getting ahead of yourself with Tremelo, which is also from 1991. The Glider EP (with "Soon" on it) was this year, though, as Tom mentioned.

in my defence, tremelo ep was FEB 91. yr right tho i am getting ahead of myself. ex:el followed in MAY. but CUBIK - OMGZ

yep... 808 State put out Cobra Bora EP and the Cubik Olympic EP in the UK... oddly cubik was the b-side of the former, but there seemed to be a pattern for a while whereby last track of each release would be the lead track of the next one...
