the second CD looks utterly foul!

looking forward to hearing new tracks though, hurrah, hopefully one of them is a BALLAD.

"caught sideways by what look like dr who related things" the headline the other day that said "mother betrayed by eight doctors"

They performed the Kaiser Chiefs song live at the V festival. It sounded rather good and worked really well, I thought - I'm looking forward to the recorded version

I don't think any Girl Aloud is quite, um, ready to be a viable solo popstar yet.

Cheryl as head Wag is obv the one with the best profile but I think it would be in her interests to continue to be part of a group...Nadine would I fear go down the Jo O'Meara route of dishwater balladry.

i would say the latter seems very likely.

After a whole three albums, we certainly need a double-CD retrospective. I can't say I am hugely distressed by a likely split - I think it's much more Xenomania that I love than GA specifically.

But the problem is Girls Aloud are like a blank sheet of canvas for Xenomania to do what they want with, and they've been able to thanks to the high profile they had from winning Popstars. Given the current unfriendliness of the record buying public to most pop, will they have that much success with any follow-up band they produce? (Look how badly Mania flopped).

No cover art yet but check back here regularly

Looks like good value for a double CD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sound-Girls-Aloud-Greatest-Hits/dp/B000IXYXA2/sr=1-4/qid=1160138900/ref=sr_1_4/026-5913522-4466068?ie=UTF8&s=music) especially given the fans will have all the old songs already.

Oh wait, it looks like the 2CD version is "limited edition" so no doubt that will be more expensive. I bet £8.99 is price of the standard edn.

I hope Something Kind of Oooh is about finding something nasty down the back of the sofa. Like a wine gum, an old leather pouch and some dead people's glasses.
