Wait, the Pylon song is utterly great (I say this as someone who's heard a total of three Pylon songs in my life). And it was also way way way way way way more obscure than the Carroll, Simon, and Lennon, all of which got on the radio. So it was something the critics were myopically seeking out, by word of mouth or word of other critics.

Also, how many Poptimists have heard the Pylon?

Very few, I'd imagine, Frank. And I spent most of the morning looking before finding these two songs (although I had heard 'Crazy' at some point in the past). Neither of these impressed me that much -- liked the Bush Tetras much more, and that was also totally new to me.
