Here is my question. Has Kate Bush ever made a banger?

Because I wuv KB and sometimes, when DJing, I want to play some of her stuff, but I can only ever think of two options:

- slap on "Hounds Of Love" and hope there are enough Goths about who feel motivated to dance.
- wait until everyone is hammered and will do the arm things to "Wuthering Heights"

Has anyone ever had or experienced any other even remotely successful Kate Bush DJing?

I've seen 'Running Up That Hill' work with a small-but-dedicated dancefloor, generally fairly early in the night. And 'Cloudbusting' was probably one of my bigger floorfillers at LYE.

OT, but the 'rate Kate' line reminded me of the one person I loathed in the amateur press association (think LiveJournal without the computers) I was in for years. He lived in Kent, can't remember quite where (one of those nasty London-fringe towns), and said he saw Kate Bush in his local supermarket sometimes. His assessment: "An old rat, but she's still got a nice pair of tits." It became kind of emblematic of so much that was despicable about this man.

No, but he'd have been that sort of troll had he not been old - like late 50s by now. The one time I went to his home (AGM of that APA), there was a Mensa mag on his coffee table. Someone picked it up, and a bondage mag fell out. Later, he put on a video to entertain us - you know the bits in slasher films where a woman is in the shower and someone attacks with a knife or whatever? Obviously by determined use of the pause button, he had lovingly compiled about two hours of such one-minute clips. A charming man.

i can understand hiding a mag inside a mag on eg the tube, but not when you have ppl round!! that's why yr bed is on little legs surely!! (or why sock drawers are always more capacious than the number of socks anyone owns)

key question: is that a nazi who is molesting children, or someone who is molesting nazi children? I imagine you're against hyphens, but this shows why we need MORE punctuation!

By and large I agree - I suspect this guy thought he could impress us with his high intelligence, and shock us with his dangerous and exciting sexual tastes. He was not correct in either respect.

thus phrase w/o hyphen = the other one

(this is actually the convention i use as a sub, though in cases where the distinction is urgent and/or comical, i wd probably take other steps to avoid the ambiguity)
