I'm sure lex has been arguing about TMR on IL(e)X.

On this (http://ilx.wh3rd.net/thread.php?msgid=4260935&showall=true) thread, Lex writes "nothing could unduce me to read john harris on captain beefheart". So he may not have heard TMR, but he has definitely heard of it. In other shock news, lex unveils his love for teenpop idol Tom Waits on the same thread.

Tom Waits was total teenpop-style crooner in his younger days. He's quite fit in some of the early photos.

My refusal to read that article is more to do with antipathy towards Harris really. Botherd about Beefheart. I have no kneejerk hatred towards him but there are only so many hours in the day.

Is that a photoshop picture or did someone really dupe her into posing with that? 0_0

That's what I thought. Ah well, maybe it is an intriguing and depth-giving insight into the World o' Paris. Or something.

Seems strange (and not particularly poptimistic) to assume she wouldn't know it or like it. Bubblegum doesn't mean dumb, dude.

I wasn't disputing whether she liked it, she could be their biggest fan for all I know, I just thought it was a rather odd thing to be photographed posing with but then I guess she's been seen doing far weirder things.

the lex said on the ilx thread that he had not heard TMR but liked Tom Waits, which ppl think sounds like Beefheart. But he doesn't.

nothing would induce ME to read "bomba" harris on capt beefheart

also: it is not 1978 any more and TMR is no longer a prized rock obscurity -- in fact i suspect it has NEVER NOT BEEN ON SALE
