Woof Woof!

For fans of xenomania, here is an exclusive remix they did for some small blue friends of theirs. It's in their online discography, so they're clearly not ashamed of it, but I don't remember this one getting anywhere near the charts. We're throwing out CDs in preparation for moving round the corner, and this is one of the oddities which has shown up. Actually, it's quite good tidying and packing music.

Boom Boom!

There's a not terribly mysterious connection between this chart sensation and poptimist's inaugural post. Actually I can't be bothered to google to find out remember if this was indeed a chart sensation or a nearly-ran. Very much of a particular time and place, and certainly a time about which I have mixed memories: but this came out from the bottom of a box just before the xenomania track did, and seems to have stood the test of time quite well.

I think the Xenomania track wears out it's welcome after a little bit in the way that the original (the Technoheads - I've not heard the Smurfs) didn't. That said, the last time I heard it was five years ago at the wrong speed with a crowd that was shortening all the songs by jumping up and down on the wooden floor next to the decks.
