Now 59 - later 2004 - the Golden Age continues, or....? JoJo, Three Of A Kind, V, Khia, Eric Prydz - we may well not see their like again. On paper this looks set to have a clear winner - but who knows the secret paths down which anygoodatall science will lead us?

Now 58 ended in a DRAW! - and no, no untickings were involved. "Hey Ya" and "Some Girls" fight it out down at the bottom of this poll. Kelis was one vote behind, and Girls Aloud one vote behind that. Very close.

Especially on the third part. I nearly ticked "I Like That" just because of the eye-gouging.

'Mary' is nice and pleasant and I ticked it. But a better choice of single would have been 'Return To Oz', the album closer, which is epic and tear-jerking and absolutely MASSIVE :(

"Mary" is probably my favourite SS single, although this may be because I once scored really easy points with an ex (named Mary) by just shoving it onto the end of a mixtape. Although considering the song's about apologising for giving somebody AIDS, it may not have been the best choice.

I love 'Caught In A Moment' but I love 'Too Lost In You' more, it's a lot more heavy-handed and obviously weepy while 'Caught In A Moment' kind of drifts in its own bubble (both are good things but I like weepiness more than bubbles in ballads). Also TLIY has that astonishing "baby baby BABY" moment.

NO. it is abysmal and makes me wince.

I usually tick Sugababes on principle (except when being contrary, e.g. re: "Freak Like Me") but I think they have tried to get away with too many poor single choices. So today I am rebelling: no ticky.

Have you heard the (French) original of Too Lost in You? (Quand J'ai Peur Du Tout by Patricia Kaas). It's also very nice, possibly even nicer.

it's like 'Crazy In Love' as performed by a human being - brassy and cute and with amazing horn rounds and this perfectly judged flirty/sassy vocal - the ascending melody on the bridge is the best thing evah. "I can feel the groove when you're holding me, like to let you think you're controlling me - but you know that ain't the deal, when I want I take the wheel". It encapsulates amazing summer parties for me, it is even better than I remember!

No redeeming features whatsoever. This is when I completely went off him.

'These Words' is a really good song, probably, but I can't stand that voice.
