This is the new song by borderline-relevant girlgroup the Saturdays:

Edit: Oh ffs, werk. Hopefully this one does not have copyright restrictions...

I think it's pretty good, although that maddening autotune Fascination seem to be indulging in makes me want to put my hand through something. The MASSIVE ROCK BIT at the end is kind of hilariously awesome though and if they're going to be personality-free they might as well do it in the context of a great big dance song. Also, Vanessa still well fit -V. GOOD, TICK.

(There is a hilarious bit where Molly removes a tattoo WITH HER SALIVA in the video somewhere; whilst perusing the internet slightly the worse for wear last night this struck me as the funniest thing ever, which probably says more about exactly the extent of my worseness for wear than it actually being hysterical but still)

Another number one for David Guetta - this time it's Akon helping him out.

[Poll #1448129]

REMINDER: Tomorrow the 2000s polls resume with a vengeance - you have until tomorrow lunchtime to make up your mind about Wyclef and Andrew WK. Remember, if it's a tie then I get the deciding vote...

There does seem to be a bit of a girl group renaissance going on atm -- every time you turn around, there's a new one crawling out of the woodwork. (They're just not having much commercial success as yet, as far as I can tell...) Here's one lot I randomly came across some time back while surfing new official uploads at Onsmash; their debut single isn't anything revolutionary, but it is immensely pleasant and insidiously earwormy. I found myself with it stuck in my head out of nowhere this weekend, half a month after first hearing it, and have consequently been listening a load to it:

I kind of love the dance routine that goes with the chorus, too. Adorable.

Bonus embed: I literally just posted this in my own journal, but giving it a bit more spread can hardly hurt! Warped, mutant microhouse from Lithuanian newcomer Few Nolder, with an absolutely AMAZING vocal -- this has gone straight into my shortlist for tops of the year:
