ENGLAND DEFY GERMAN PRESSURE

Germany 0 England 1 (Half-Time)
England lead by a goal to nil at half time in their Pop World Cup clash with Germany. The raw England side coped admirably with a lot of early pressure, but seemed pinned back in their own half by the highly experienced German midfield. When their chance to break came, though, the young England forwards snapped at it and with their manager urging them on from the touchline they were able to wrongfoot the creaking German back four and score. Though the goal came slightly against the run of play the team will still be full of confidence as they head to the dressing room, and the Germans will have to hope that their superstar line-up can find more energy after the break.
In other PWC-related news, Serbian Euro-meltdown continues.
And there will be souvenir PWC CDs available for a lucky few* at the pop quiz tonight. We'll be handing them out as prizes and I'll get some more done. It's a pretty good compilation - well done all managers!
*(I ran out of blank discs so there's only 20 or so going.)
