My week of TRUCKIN SONGS (despite PUNY response to Day 1) goes on with

Dell O'Day - "Diesel Smoke (Dangerous Curves)"

Somewhat of a trucker standard, this song presents the twin perils of i) sharp bends and ii) WUMMEN with one flexible metaphor. Dell O'Day's version is my favourite because of the guitar sound FX and the mounting sense of panic.

Keep on truckin, good buddies.

Linda Scott - I've Told Every Little Star: Reassurably sweet and incredibly twee, but with a pretty little "dum da dum" hook. You might know this from it's use in top fillum "Mullholland Drive". http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2GNPPXMB9Q8UE3OIOHYUDM84M8

Sparks - Number One Song in Heaven: The greatest song ever! It makes my day to hear this. Swoony:http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=287MKXKQYCX103OOQ9G35ALKYM

Destra Garcia - Bonnie and Clyde: Soca! With top "Take on Me" hook stealage!http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3P3VPA00OBI7O0RDXKB6J5MUWY

Ken Laszlo - Hey Hey Guy: Italo house of the finest vintage http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=30EWIDZVNYOTO2MPM9F7TYNH1K
