This is a round of questions I have prepared for my work quiz on Weds. The theme is Number Ones. ALL TRU POPTIMISTS should find this peasy and not need Google, apart maybe from hilarious j/k qn 10. The official version of the charts in the GUINNESS BOOK is the one I'm using.

However I am screening all replies so I can announce later which Poptimist has the hugest brain. Try to do without Search Engines.

It turns out that reports of Poptimism's demise at the Polar Bear MAY have been exaggerated - they are just closing for a refurb, probably to do something about THE DRAINS, and they don't know how long it will take but they intend to re-book us afterwards. So it's an exile not an exodus. In the meantime we're planning other forms of Poptimist fun to keep the brand spirit alive.

In other news

- Kate Bush's new single turns out to be an Grower. Good old Kate Bush. I wonder if the songs about her nipper will be bearable?

- Does anyone know of pikey free software that can knit MP3s together for a BITS AND PIECES round? I downloaded some yesterday but it will only do three files at a time and I need 10. (I have realised of course that I can just 'chain' the files I make, so ignore this as evidence of my brain being wrong)
