I should have mentioned this a while ago, but I forgot all about it, but now I remembered I wanted to share, so here it is.
This is D-Me from Belgium. Last year, he put out possibly the gayest single ever - a four-to-the-floor dance version of "7 Nation Army". It very, very nearly was brilliant. He put out an album a few weeks ago. It has lots of cover versions on it, all rendered in the exact same style: pumping, but fairly anaemic beat and aerobicised vocalising. If you enjoyed the delightful sacrilege and deserved disembowelment dished out by A.D.A.M. Featuring Amy to "Zombie" back in 1995, this might be for you.
LOOK AT THE TRACKLISTING!
There's stuff on here that is a good idea in theory and in practice ("7 Nation Army"). There's stuff on here that's a good idea in theory but doesn't quite work (Liquido's forgotten Eurorock-pop classic "Narcotic"). There's stuff on here that's a bad idea and is as terrible as you'd imagine (look, leave "The Time Is Now" alone, and as for "Psycho Killer" and Stiltskin's "Inside" and "Bitter Sweet Symphony"), and... possibly the worst idea ever devised by a human being...
A dance cover of "How You Remind Me" by Nickelback. The clip must be heard to be believed, I haven't been able to track down a full MP3, but this is planet-destroyingly astonishing. ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? No! I need a full MP3 of this by yesterday, but the clip on that page should sufficiently sate/horrify you.
