Right, thankyou all for yr nominations in the Poptimists Birthday Poll. Before the poll can start PROPERLY tomorrow, we need to whittle down some of the ALSO-RANS. phil = grumpy wailing bloke who MADE some TOP pop tunes. not an star.

Dusty was a reluctant virtual recluse, much idolised since her death on account of the UK being largely rub at producing great lady singers. Sandie Shaw was a much better STAR than her though.

Phil is a star for the hair alone!
