more people are voting for "Cry Me a River" than for "Ignition"?!? I think "Cry Me a River" has been his weakest single. Not that it's bad, I'm just surprised it's gotten the highest number of votes so far.

With JT I always felt there was a massive amount of goodwill and desire for his records to be amazing, and they were always good, sometimes very good, but never absolute stormers.

I think CMAR is the one which won a lot of people over - it positioned him as popstar-with-autonomy rather than just popstar-who-makes-good-club-bangers, ie An Artiste. Like I Love You : Cry Me A River :: Dirrty : Beautiful

Personally I think it's gorgeous and rather moving, and I love the way it's not a banger but definitely not a ballad but also not yr conventional mid-tempo pop either (harking back to early Missy there), and he is so fucking fit in the video it's not true and I wanted so much to be that girl who got to sit on him.

it won me over in that it was memorable and sweet. msot everything he's ever done has been just that bit dull for me. there was a time (for me) when it seemed every song he brought out was less memorable than the last.
