Hi dere campers. We're really missing them Now polls, aren't we? So here is a new semi-regular feature (that probably will end up having a crossover with Popular but what the hey) where we find out if the record-purchasing public agree with Poptimist poll-tickers!

Concept moderation request: start with 1990 by all means, but let's not do ALL of the nineties before moving on. Let's jump around from year to year in random fashion. You know, like Jimmy Saville's Old Record Club on R1 used to do. (Or maybe you Young Persons don't know.)

I was thinking that, yep. I don't want too much crossover with recent Now polls innit. Years to be picked at random henceforth! (1990 = good start year, half GOLD half POLISHED SH1TE)

'92 had even fewer #1s, although that was largely due to Shakespeare's Sister's 8 week run plus Snap's 6 week run.
