Oops - She did it again - WON A NOW POLL that is. Britney topped Now 46, and deletion was averted by a respectable showing for Aaliyah after much lobbying. Less controversy on Now 47 I'm guessing, featuring comebacks for U2, Spices and All Saints, and debuts for David Gray, Nelly and leather-lunged Anastacia.

All this and DANE BOWERS too!

All Saints were basically shit. Boring covers of 'classic' but actually awful rock songs. Being set up by the meeja as the pop band it was 'okay' to like in opposition to the Spice Girls. THAT FUCKING FILM. Shit shit shit.

All Saints were GREAT. They improved the awful rock songs, and topped them with some amazingly lush stuff of their own. 'Black Coffee' is one of those sweeping existentialist ballads I'm a sucker for. 'Pure Shores' has that incredible "I'm coming! I'm drowning!" moment in it!

the Faithless track on it is (perhaps surprisingly) good, as is the New Order track, and it has the Hardfloor mix of 'Yeke Yeke' :)
