In a hard-fought and popular Now 45 poll, Kelis beat Daphne and Celeste by two votes. In Now 46, Britney is back, Kylie is back, Aaliyah is back, and so is Billie (now with surname), but the big debut - in future direction if not in ticks - is Coldplay.

I don't think I ever heard it BUT I am shocked that neither Piper nor Mumba find favour with you!

Both were very close to tickys, if I didn't have a headache I'd have ticked them probably. But something about Mumba annoys me, and "Day And Night" was and is a disappointment given the hype/potential was "Billie is back and shes got Max Martin!"

The Mumba has a really harmonically complex tune, it shifts around a lot in a quite strange way which makes it less immediately catchy but once you finally work out what note goes where in your head it will never be dislodged. Also it is one of Julie Burchill's favourite singles ever. In Piper's defence surely the monster "ALL OF THE DAY! ALL OF THE NIGHT!" chorus speaks for itself.
