In a hard-fought and popular Now 45 poll, Kelis beat Daphne and Celeste by two votes. In Now 46, Britney is back, Kylie is back, Aaliyah is back, and so is Billie (now with surname), but the big debut - in future direction if not in ticks - is Coldplay.

Angle-ic: standard trance bubbly noise rising, distant girl vocal (i start to worry... about the hands of fate...), certain lack of tune, internal coherence, etc. Never really gets off ground? v v forgettable.
Rank 1: even more forgettable! exact same trance noise in exact same cadence, whispery woman says "i feel you over the airwave", it's maybe a bit bigger but still not quite maximal enough.
Fe-m@il: flee! flee fly! flee fly flo! BISTO! are they singing on nonsense or in spanish? it's somewhere in the middle of all girl-sung novelty singles ever, a bit las ketchup a bit 'c'est la vie' a bit vanilla a bit 'i'd like to give you one for chrustmas' etc. the politeness of their voices is what ruins it, makes it steadfastly mediocre.
York: butch electro trance with diva vocals! has a v recogniseable riff (that also manages to sound like other big trance riffs), some self-echoing synth that sounds like a bizarro-world guitar and swelling strings under it. diva warbles title, no other lyrics i think.
Southside Spinnaz: more trance! quite big-sounding, female singer whisper-groans 'i want ya, i need ya, i feel luuuuv struuuuck.' it's kind of... competent without being quite likeable enough?
