The big news on Now 44 is the first appearance of Britney, on a highly pop-centric compilation. Beyond that we have a host of solo Spice singles, Steps, Shania, S Club and a great deal of pop-trance. I would write more but I'm a bit busy - anyway it's an intriguing selection and I'll look forward to seeing what you make of it.

Now 43 was clinched by the Chemical Brothers, leading Basement Jaxx by two votes and "Coffee And TV" by five.

This has happened to me too. As the Now compiliations progress there seem to be fewer and fewer songs I know.

I seem to know more and more of the songs. But yeah, you can't vote for it, if you don't know it.

Exactly the opposite! I knew hardly any until around Now 22, Now 23-32 I knew virtually all of them as I owned those Nows, the next ten there were many holes but I knew most of the songs, and from here on in I'm thinking there'll only be 2-3 at most that I don't know per Now.
