The big news on Now 44 is the first appearance of Britney, on a highly pop-centric compilation. Beyond that we have a host of solo Spice singles, Steps, Shania, S Club and a great deal of pop-trance. I would write more but I'm a bit busy - anyway it's an intriguing selection and I'll look forward to seeing what you make of it.

Now 43 was clinched by the Chemical Brothers, leading Basement Jaxx by two votes and "Coffee And TV" by five.

Really? I'm sort of surprised I ticked RUTH, I find the Kate Bush mania almost as annoying as the acclaim for this track.
