Oizo = head and shoulders above everything else here. A startling amount of the best dance music of the last three years is totally indebted to that track. As Vahid pointed out elsewhere it is impossible to listen to Smagghe's Fabric mix without imagining the little yellow chap bashing his head along to all the fvck-off big buzzy noises.
I can confirm that his offerings in 2006 continue in the same spirit which would be GOOD except after a couple of minutes in it goes into DREADFUL glitching and boring samples and cut ups that completely RUIN exactly the same noise that he did with Flat Beat all those years agooo.
In other "things I forgot", I forgot Alan Braxe on Saturday.
Haha well that and I hadn't got myself a ticket or even discussed it with anyone apart from the odd enthusiastic "yeah i'll go!!!" to Rick (which I forget about in 5 minutes URGH MY BRAIN)
i had time for Terrorvision in the past but didn't like 'Tequila' despite Mint Royale involvement/big beat bandwagon.
i recall 'Tequila' was one of three 'indie' tunes in the top 10 that week leading NME to procliam that OMG SOMETHING HAPPENING ROCK IS BACK for the gazillionth time. One of the others was Gheyeda's 'To Earth With Love' but what was the third?
oh man, I still love that post - "you and i know that the goliath that casts it shadow over the overripe, messy, farty borderlands between electro, micro and glitch is three feet tall!!!!!!!!" (http://beatresearch.blogspot.com/2005/07/lifetime-achievement-award.html)
v.tough to not give "flat beat" best track vote (it's the most um ME sort've music there), but I've got a lot of drunken "u don't know me"-associated memories (can't believe it's doing so badly!)

Mr Oizo Love=it's SOOOOOOO Good, it almost makes up for the dross surrounding it.
