I've noticed that the canon polls keep creeping back to their spiritual home of Fridays - it must be fate! Anyway today in a fit of indulgence we are doing the BEATLES, to celebrate the fact that something written by me about them is going to be in a proper book available in real actual shops later this year. Is a cover of a song that was a hit before your mother was born (but not before my mother was born; she was age 4) and had already been covered scads and scads of times prior to the Beatles getting to it; theirs wasn't the first version I'd heard. You'll recognize the song when you hear it.
