Apr. 17th, 2006 07:40 pmThe Pop World Cup Round of 16
Ivory Coast 1 PORTUGAL 2 (after extra time)
A shock last-minute goal sent Portugal through to face England in the Pop World Cup quarter-finals. The Portugese fans meanwhile were chanting
thebopkids name last night, and a Portugal spokesman dismissed rumours that the manager is swiftly running out of fit players. "It was a tough game, of course, they all are at this level. But we have every chance of a result against England. These comments the boss is supposed to have made - they were translated poorly, that's all."
