poptimistsSo our hand-wringing the other month about TEH DEATH OF POP OH NO was a load of bollocks, wasn't it, in the light of a) news that Xtina is working with Rich Harrison, b) and Paris Hilton with Scott Storch, c) excellent new Sugababes album (which features GLAM and CRUNK and Franz Ferdinand basslines and a string-soaked finale, d) amazing new Rachel Stevens album (even the lame trip-hop at the end is growing on me), e) the fucking incredible new Britney tracks.
I can put "f) the tATu album" in there when someone makes me a copy, ahem ahem.
Oh and g) Jacques Lu Cont doing the Madonna album ie it might not be quite as bad as we'd assumed because if there's one man who can redeem her in 2005 it's him.
Even Goldcrapp don't seem quite so bad now that I've heard the Tiefschwarz remix of 'Ooh La La' which is slightly mind-blowing.

c) watermarked copy so no can do but I'm sure it'll leak soon, or you can come round for a LISTENING PARTY
d) there are lots of links around the place but if no one can provide one I can burn it
e) there is a thread on ilm which I don't have time to go looking for
f) no worries? anyone else have it, poptimists?
g) the JLC rmx of 'Hollywood' was good! Sow's ear => silk purse once again. (I am putting together a CDR of JLC remixes and it will be so good when done!)
There are so many good things around now that when I put together a tentative setlist for Lovelife/Sugar, it ran to over five hours.
