Now 31 takes us to the (current) halfway point! in the Now polls, and finds Britpop in 'full swing', backed up with a host of fondly and less fondly remembered tracks. DJ Daz should take note of Love City Groove, unfortunate pioneers in the 'put some rap in Eurovision' category. Reeves and Mortimer cover the Monkees, Duran Duran cover the Furious Five, Shaggy tackles Mungo Jerry, Baby D take on the Korgis and Ladysmith Black Mambazo surely fulfil a lifetime ambition by getting to work with China Black.

You'll also get to vote in the Now 30 face-off - Portishead and Massive Attack share the spoils with East 17's "Stay Another Day" a mere two votes behind. Bucketheads in 4th, Boos in 5th, much hatred for the Gallaghers and Mr J Nail, and some bafflement as to what 'handbag house' actually is, that said if you were to make a compilation of the suggestions it would be TOTALLY GREBT as I will prove soon.

The choice between Shampoo and Kylie turned out to be no choice at all - "Trouble" by a mile. I'm expecting a clear winner in this poll, though.

Seal was a total goff. See his previous endorsement of mental illness as a survival tactic for further proof.

Is this the best?

I like it better than U2's Hold Me Kiss Me Bore Me Whatevs Me. And I can't remember the other ones. It is also better than Addams Family Groove.

I like Addams Groove. A LOT.

'Batdance' wins tho. Sushi & The Banshis might also beat Seal with their 'Face To Face' from Batmang 2: Batmang On Da Move.

Why isn't everyone voting for it? Surely it is the Dawn Penn of this group. YOUR WISTFUL SURVIVER POP NEEDS YOU

I have voted for Boyzone on reputation even though I still don't remember it :(

mis-teeq covered the montell the other year and despite their best efforts failed o make a hash of it - it goes "let's flip the track, bring the old school back" and is like CLASSIC.

montell == 'never come wack on an old school track'

it is oddly similar in my head to 'i got a little something for yer', I don't know if it's just cos they come next to each other.
