Now 30, like 1995, starts slow but then explodes into full-on dance mania as high street clubbing meets pop and a flood of great, blink-and-you-miss-them hits follow. Handbagmania! In amongst the dance tunes we have dadpop, Britpop, a bit of r'n'b and a sprinkling of trip-hop. It's a big poll with some big questions: have at it.

One of the big questions is - what's going to win Now 29? Kylie and Shampoo were tied on 34 votes each, just ahead of Whigfield and Corona, so there's a straight choice to be made here. Meanwhile Oasis highpoints clustered around Cigs and Boose, Live Forever and Supersonic: Wasis make the first of several reapparances on today's poll.

My total hatred of Wake Up Boo should be cross-referenced to my (continuing) love for the Boo Radley's early work, man, so is not the pop-ist gesture it might appear to be.

well, yes and no.

if wake up boo had been in the middle of giant steps it wouldn't get the hate it now (unfairly, in my opinion) receives. it was the album after wake up when things got messy...

WUB is totally unfairly maligned - and for that i like what they achieved even more than the song! Giant Steps is obv better than EAF, DrT u r a menk

In fact, the Boos got better with each album, up to and including C'mon Kids, which is still one of my favourite 20 albums ever.

And if you hate "Wake Up Boo", you must really hate pop, and life in general.

I have been convinced of the absolute grimness of Wake Up Boo ever since I first heard it but it's quite hard to pin down. As is often the case I think a lot of the problem is the guy's thin, wobbly voice.
