it's amazing what you end up reading in the pub, eg (like a bird's egg) teh torygraph, where, of all people Julian Lloyd-Webber has joined the pro-pop fight. well kind of anyway...
when the torygraph did their full-page feature on crunk ages ago (which i discovered by chance on the tube), they had j lloyd webber column (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2005/02/03/bmjlw03.xml) on the opposite page.
Whelton's remarks about rap music sent me scurrying to my newly installed iTunes program. Here I encountered a delectable lady named Kelis (another limerick is simmering) who implored me to sample the delights of her Milkshake. From this track it was immediately apparent that not only did Miss Kelis have a firm grasp of the basics of harmony and tonality but on a lot else besides.
