I have been alerted to the existence of a Polish band by the name of "Cool Kids Of Death", yes, as in the Saint Etienne song famously named after an accident at the typesetters. This is intriguing, I do not think they are some kind of Polski tribute act, but I am curious so I am LEGALLY ACQUIRING AHEM some of their "music".

Predictions as to what a bunch of Poles who name themselves after INDIE DANCE GROUP will sound like, starting... NOW! I shall report when I have listened.

sad reality will probably be EMO w/a name like that.

(typesetting accident? what was it supposed to be?)

I have heard them and almost seen them, in that they were supporting the Stooges when I went to see them last year. They sounded rubbish from the bar and the old friend I was with who isn't a giddyoldgoat popped in to check and thought they were rubbish, so we stayed in the bar. I don't remember any more detail than that.

I've seen them described (not a coincidence, I Googled for them) as:
Franz Ferdinand + Stone Roses + KLF + Jet.
Scary, the final name there especially, but last night I figured out what a band that has elements of all 4 of these will sound like:

= Big Audio Dynamite.
