Votes for group B in by tonight please - using the poll or sending them to freakytrigger@gmail.com. (And I should have made it clear - managers can vote, and since two have and two haven't it would seem both fair and advisable for the haven'ts to get their votes in!)

For Group C, I need the tracks from [livejournal.com profile] carsmilesteve, [livejournal.com profile] umlauts and [livejournal.com profile] poptasticuk by tomorrow night please, email as above, MP3 format only, a link to a download is fine if your email cant send the full track. The fourth person in that group is ME, so in order not to give myself an advantage in terms of knowing what other people have gone for, I'm going to make my final pick tonight and will gmail it to somebody else so they can check I've not changed it before the deadline. NO BUNGS HERE MR SO CALLED FAKE SHEIKH.

Group B interim report

Trinidad and Tobago were able to look down from the summit of Group B this morning after a convincing win over minnows Paraguay. Trinidad supremo [livejournal.com profile] jel_bugle faced criticism for his team selection but his choice of an experienced squad seems to have paid off and they top the table on goal difference. Paraguay may be disappointed with their performance but they are far from out of contention for a qualifying spot.

In the other group B clash, Sweden edged out England in a tight encounter, leaving England with a job to do in the remainder of the group stage. Pundits suggested that there is no great gap in quality between the England squad and their rivals, though, and a fightback should certainly not be beyond them.

All votes to be in by Monday night - keep them coming!

(The interim report is based on the first 10 or so votes - which constitute around 1/3 of the total if the last group is anything to go by)
