Katy and Snoop are still at the top.

[Poll #1588485]

Glastonbury watch: Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" re-enters at #64 and FOUR Muse albums are in the top 100 (guess they didn't play much stuff off their first one).

Capello commented, through an interpreter: "Right back at the beginning of the tournament, we said we’ll call a ‘success’ finding our way to the grounds, a ‘win’ getting 2 or more England players on the pitch, and anything above that is epic."

Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull "I Like It": Hooks upon hooks climbing atop more hooks and doing somersaults; Iglesias sounds half dead on his own track, Pitbull is reliably energetic, and the hooks keep dancing. (Go here for the Iglesias-Pitbull Corollary.) TICKBULL.

Skepta "Rescue Me": Singing that is all the weakness and lameness of the current era concentrated in one thimbleful of gruel. In contrast, the rap sections are hard and strong, riding across a dark spy-film chord shift. But the singing I just can't abide. NO TICK.

Marco Calliari "We No Speak Americano": No! Dumb Brits, you're buying the wrong version. Or dumb record licensers or whoever for not getting the Yolanda Be Cool version out before this could sneak in and grab sales. The YBC Aussies had given this balls and ball-bearings and doubled its bounce and twisted its silliness up to 11. This knock-off is still undeniable, but I'm withholding my tick in protest. BORDERLINE NONTICK.

Justin Bieber "Somebody To Love": Buy meets tune, mates (v), finally. TICK.

Plan B "Prayin'": Soul bass surrounded by a great ocean of sorrow - no progression, no transcendence, no release. Plan B's weak voice resides in the sound without leading it. It's still a gigantic track; guy is audacious all right. TICK.

'I Like It' is one of the messier RedOne productions.. The trademark sounds are there, but he seems a little clueless as to what to do with Enrique's voice. Charming in its own way, I guess.
