I wanted 11 ticks, and Jay-Z just missed out. I am the only one to have voted for one of my nominations, J Rawls' Great Live Caper - I commend it to your attention as one of the best hip hop tracks of the decade, though plainly it has no chance here.

I'm not sure - he has worked with Mos Def, and he is part of the Lone Catalysts. This is based around a Coltrane sample, and is a very funny story of someone stealing "my priceless book of rhymes". It's gorgeous.

Actually I just thought to check, and the rap on this track is by J-Live - Rawls is mostly or entirely a producer.
