A few months ago Tom put up Elephant Man's (excellent) 'No Tikkle' - this is Timberlee's take on the same Benny Hill riddim and it's terrifically ditzy fun - doesn't quite fit into the mini-bling mini-trend of Lil' Mama's 'Lip Gloss' and Katharine McPhee's 'Open Toes' (those heels do cost, like, $500!) but her giddy excitement makes it sound like it does. Timberlee is "the new leading lady of dancehall" and I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from her - we can start with her superb Federation Presents TNT mixtape, on which she's teamed up with two other female dancehall artists, Natalie Storm and Tifa - it's available for free d/l at Federation Sound's myspazz and contains freestyles on 'Lip Gloss', 'A Milli', 'Paper Planes' and some really eyebrow-raising lyrics (you can pretty much guess what 'Backdoor Delivery' and its postman metaphor are about).
