Yeah, that's what made me think for years that I wouldn't like him, as I saw him before I heard him. Later I realised that a great pop CD I'd bought in Denmark was all written and produced by him, and after that got into some of his songs, especially Olympia which he did for the Olympic Games 2004. Angels Crying and Predator are 2 others I recommend. It wasn't til True Believer that I fully realised his greatness, though. He's only done a few songs that good but I'd still say he was probably the best male dance (in the British sense of the word, I'd better add! not just any song you dance to) artist of the last 10 years.
I hadn't thought of it as him not getting the number, just a typical repetition that you get in songs, but your take is much more amusing. That line in the Blog 27 version of Hey Boy always amused me too, cos I knew of Swingfly as a rapper already. If he gets big in Poland, they'll all be saying "ahh, that's what a swingfly is!"
