Wobs Poptimism Requests
Dec. 21st, 2005 12:17 pmThings I have heard are good but for whatever reason (laziness) I have not managed to hear
* Stuff Jam Stevens
* Isolee
* Brocade Fire
YSIs would be smashing - tho I think there was a Stuff Jam YSI yesteday so I could dig that out. (It's all take take take with me at wobs)
Also a repeat request for ppl to JOIN US ON http://www.last.fm/group/poptimists
If you are not a last.fm user yet go to http://www.last.fm/postsignup.php to sign up and see how to install the gizmo needed. If you have yr computah music player telling last fm what yr playing (via the magic of the gizmo) it can make you weekly charts, and it'll make charts for the poptimists group as a whole too. come on! CHARTS. You love charts of pop music.

Date: 2005-12-21 01:05 pm (UTC)I quote from said friend:
"there’s a version of the last.fm player that doesn’t require installation so you should be able to take advantage of it at work, should you be so inclined:
http://www.last.fm/help/player/"
Is that right? What one needs to do in Noddy speak would be helpful, ta.

Date: 2005-12-21 10:12 pm (UTC)mark if you have osx and itunes 4 or later then you should be ok :-( if you launch the little "iScrobbler" app it should install as a mini menu in the top right - looking like a double note effort. check the preferences option on that menu.
(in case you'd got prematurely baffled)

Date: 2005-12-21 11:11 pm (UTC)when i click the app it just says "not compatible" -- and it has a "needs 10.3.9" message sitting beside it
so maybe i need an earlier i-scrobbler than i am bein pointed at :(

Date: 2005-12-22 01:00 am (UTC)ok. yeah.
the old one at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/iscrobbler/iScrobbler0.5.2.dmg.gz?use_mirror=kent may still work for you (i think the submission data is structured in the same way) give it a go anyway.

Date: 2005-12-22 02:36 am (UTC)WHAT I WAS SAYING
I joined AS REQUESTED and after a long time noticed I'd only played renaissance polyphony by J Ockeghem! Hope I don't overly destruct your prospective charts by this behaviour.
