Mar. 18th, 2008 10:48 amFrom Digital Spy:
Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes has claimed that her debut single is "sexy" and "feministic".
Hayes is recording the track as part of her new VH1 reality show Chanelle Wannabe Popstar.
Speaking at the Children's Champions Awards, Chanelle said "It's sexy for the boys and then feministic for the girls. It's really dead good. It's really exciting you'll love it, hopefully.
"Ben [Ofoedu from Phats and Small], who wrote the single, was really really good so I had a lot of support from people."
Previous Big Brother contestants who have recorded pop singles include twin sisters Sam and Amanda Marchant, Nadia Almada, Craig Phillips and Nichola Holt.

Date: 2008-03-18 11:09 am (UTC)I can't wait to see what Chanelle's idea of 'feministic' is. I bet it won't be as feministic as Ashley Alexandra Dupré.
"It's sexy for the boys and then feministic for the girls"

Date: 2008-03-18 12:18 pm (UTC)NB Ben Ofoedu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Ofoedu) was neither Phats nor Small. He was the vocalist on 'Turn Around', has been in a group with Shane Lynch, and finished 5th in qualifying for Eurovision 2006, behind Kym Marsh and runaway winner Daz Sampson.
So no, it probably won't be good!

Date: 2008-03-18 02:50 pm (UTC)In terms of backstory, she's a Big Brother contestant who wants to be Posh Spice (she has publicly voiced this as her ambition, this isn't just me being bitchy or something,) had sex on the show and then started some srs beef with one of the other contestants that led to the latter ending up in a neck brace after some people beat her up. The beef was, of course, over some slaggy bloke-contestant with a dodgy fringe who Chanelle announced she was getting married to immediately after they were both out of the house. Then that didn't happen, I don't think. She's on the cover of the gossip rags every week with some tearful 'OH NOES, I AM A TWO-BIT WHORE' story, which is the only reason I know any of this at all.
Oh and she takes her kit off for the more neanderthilic mens' magazines, I think. Then again, I really liked that Jennifer Ellison single in a sort of 'well that's crap but nevermind' way so maybe it will amazing.
