Time for another round of Pop Trumps! The rules of the game are described here, but it's dead simple really. Grade the popstar below in various categories from 0-10, Whether 10 is 'good' or 'bad' is up to you, but it will 'beat' a lower score. 5 is average score - put that if you really don't know what mark to give.

I gave X-Tina a 9 for hotness, though the variance in how hot she looks in different pictures/occassions is absolutely astonishing. I gave her a 0 for extracurriculars, because I couldn't think of a single extra-musical thing she has that's worth a point. Other than those two I just went based on feel.

I think Xtina will do pretty well on this one - thanks to the inescapable Britney link, both of them will always be namechecked together when talking about the late 90s Disney-pop era (like Blur and Oasis for Britpop).

The most bizarrely overrated pop star of the last 10 years. "Come On Over Baby" is awesome, and there's a poppers-in-the-air mix of "Hurt" that is great and "Dirrrty" is fun in a club but... apart from that, if she vanished, the world would not have noticed.

See scores for R Kelly above: I've averaged the raw marks in each category (R is scarily similarly distributed to Diana Ross!) and taken the 'best song' with the most nominations. The Botherdness Quotient will obviously vary from poll to poll, but before I end the game and make up the cards themselves, I'll link back to all the polls to give each popstar a fair outing.

Can anyone see any vital flaws in this plan? No? Good.

Her wardrobe choices are indeed barking. I've marked her down on this as there are no rumours of her forcing roadies to make her dog a kennel out of champagne etc.

I think her videos are on the whole GREBT (remember, Dancing Skillz also includes 'visual') so I've given her a 10 there. I am utterly transfixed by her & her choreography - even with the ballads there's usually something mental going on (eg Daddy being trampled to death by circus elephant).

If Dancing Skillz includes videos I'll go and revise way upwards. One of the best videos artists. "Genie in a Bottle" is the best video.

Quite a view aspects of Back to Basics struck me as eccentric - or should that be hubris? e.g. that track with all the answerphone messages from fans

I received B2B for wobs 06, and have played it once (1x) since then. TOO LONG! There are some great songs on there that are totally swamped by reams of gibbering on. I wouldn't call that eccentricity, I'd call it lack of editorial judgement.

Candyman does have the MEIN EYES factor for a lot of it, but I absolutely *love to bits* the three-Xtinas-with-different-hair singing harmonies and jiggling about like a triad of Vera Lynns. *swoon*

Yes, the ratings will be rounded up/down. Blame me copying and pasting from Excel there.

The tie-breaker songs also have a percentage, but I'm not sure yet whether to put them on the card or not - it might make for better gameplay for the players to just qualitatively argue which song is best!

I think the collected videos for the Stripped singles are probably this century's greatest work of art so far, especially in the order they came out. has any other current pop star made such a point of switching up her image so totally over five successive singles?

I love that video, and the song. It's really the only Christina thing I like, other than the first couple of singles and Ain't No Other Man (although I can understand the appeal of Beautiful and Dirrty in their different ways). I think she looks great. On a grumpy historical note, I'll suggest she's jiggling like a trio of Betty Grables (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwIQph2L4K8).

Seconded! (The overrated part.)

Didn't have trouble with this one, really, because I've always been perplexed by the appeal of Xtina, especially as some kind of "relief" from Britney Spears, who has ALWAYS been head-and-shoulders above her as an artist/performer. Don't like her (Xtina) singing style particularly, despise her recent makeover and its social implications for "cleaning up" (gag me). She definitely hasn't been given many hits, considering she's been in the game so long. Deserves an overall score of 5-6.

Who is going to devise the DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS type game that will accompany these cards? And then develop a production/marketing strategy to sell them IN BULK? (Divas and Daft'uns?)
