Right there REALLY WILL be 2 parts of this today, 24-18 now then 17-11 later leaving us the TOP 10 to liven up your Monday.

ALSO: It is POPTIMISM tomorrow where we play only #1 hits from 1952 to the present day! It is from 8 to 2, at The Cross Kings near Kings Cross etc etc - you know the drill by now and if you don't then you can get to know the drill here.

Now on with the CHART.

24. DIZZEE RASCAL - "Pussy'ole (Old Skool)"

You can see the video here, but go here to listen to the non-radio edit, which is probably why it's placing here!

23. FALL OUT BOY - "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race"

The actual video on YT has awfully muffled sound so for the full emo impact listen here.

22. LLOYD ft LIL WAYNE - "You"

Strong showing in a somewhat R&B-lacking list!

21. THE SOUNDS - "Tony The Beat (Rex The Dog Remix)"

Not an actual video for this, so here's them doing it live as an encore using the Rex mix.

20. T2 - "Heartbroken"

MOAR LIKE THIS PLS.

19. MIA - "Boyz"

Danger STROABS. Yummin yum yumminy yum.

18. GIRLS ALOUD - "Sexy! No No No..."

Did Poptimists collectively decide this video was rubbish? I really like it - unnerving.

I'll leave the trip-hop canon till next week in that case!

The Lloyd/Lil Wayne still under-impresses me.

Have you heard 'Get It Shawty' Kat? I like 'You' fine but 'Get It Shawty' is amazing, I actually voted for it.

Still don't like 'Boyz'. Her voice is all wrong on it, too loose, no funny lines.

'Bamboo Banga' is surely the ultimate Kala banger! I have never heard it out :(

I have just given the video a watch. I like their little 'fists' dance during the chorus! It's better than 'You', but I think I'd need to listen to this on better speakers - I don't think I'm getting the full benefit of the bass sounds. However I'm not sure if all this Enya-rap is really my thing.

I think the start would work really well - it's still quite propulsive and everyone would sing along to "roadrunner, roadrunner", and it'd set the scene for an EXPLOSION when the second beat kicks in.

It's all about the raindrop synths - it does that same minimal, aching melody thing that I love in Cassie's tracks.

There are loads of amazing remixes too - one with Yung Joc and Missy Elliott, another with Nina Sky.

Well, so much for my prediction that T2 places in the top seven.

Song that's new to me:

The Sounds "Tony The Beat (Rex The Dog Remix)" - I like this, has the same emphatic, righteous-sounding vocals as "Song With A Mission." I didn't make out the words, but I suspect that they address themes dealing mostly with current apocalyptic confusion and post-apocalyptic survivalism.
