"Pop" economics

poptimistsIt's reasonably rare that someone I want to see gives a show in Moscow. Bryan Ferry is not high on my list, by any means, but I am compensating for not getting to go see Roisin Murphy, who I really *really* wanted to see (and who gave a great performance here two years ago - her first live solo show).
But:
The venue - a 3500 capacity club. General admission tickets, let's say 3000: 1,500 rubles (J30, $60). Seats - about 180: 9,000 rubles (J180, $360). VIP 1 tickets, about 20: 15,000 rubles (J300, $600). VIP 2 tickets (8, i think): 50,000 rubles (J1,000, $2,000)
This means Bryan is grossing roughly J136,400 ($272,800). (And he's doing two shows!)
No, under no circumstances am I going to pay for Dylanesque.
