I have just realised that basically what I meant to say was: I don't believe it's pop and this is confusing. In a way it seems to sort of epitomise the dichotomy (I suspect this is the WRONG WORD but it is the only one that's coming to mind- sorry, my brain has dissolved) of the fact pop music is sort of... not pop music anymore. Err. Actually I'm not sure I'm making any more sense.
Hopefully I am using up all my articulative ability on my essay, otherwise I should probably panic.
