Oh, this song is still amazing.

I think she is prettier than she is in this video, like in the clip at the end? But it is pretty good, I like the rain.

No sound here at work, so all I get is the pictures and all they suggest is "yawn another scantily clad pretty woman posing imperiously for us. how many thousand times have i seen this before? where will you be in five years little girl?" (Although the first water sequence, at least, is quite cool.)

There is nothing wrong with scantily clad people dancing! This is a good foundation for all pop videos! And she looks wonderful.

I love the colours, the lighting, the fire-and-ice elementalism of it all, a really good reflection of the song itself. I love that she gets naked but it's in a totally classy and awesome way and possibly a nod towards Grace Jones. I love that her stilted posing totally covers for the fact that Rihanna can't dance at all - I imagine Ciara or Beyoncé watching this, covering their mouths in astonishment, then laughing bitchily for about half an hour. I love the RAIN OF FIRE and the WATER DANCING. And I think my favourite bits are actually the close-ups of her face - on the first chorus, the "took an oath, I'mma stick it out til the end", that facial expression - totally real and awesome.

I'm slightly disappointed by the fact the video doesn't really have all that much bearing on the song, umbrella routine aside. It is rather good, though.
