I would use the word 'disgusting' in place of 'fascinating'.
I'm not sure I actually like the confessional side of teenpop very much - I mean obviously I love songs by Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Avril Lavigne etc, but a great deal of my enjoyment is through the prism of Ashlee/Lindsay's celebrity, and for the most part I think it's merely very good pop rather than great pop, and I definitely don't love it as a genre: too guitary! I would like dancepop back please.
