when I got to university I had a six-month period of wanting to catch up on The Canon (esp those helpfully half price in HMV sales) because I wanted to Write About Music. this ended because 90% of The Canon was total crap.
I still own London Calling, it's nothing special but not bad enough to get rid of. Yet.
