I Love #1's - 1993
Nov. 7th, 2006 10:06 amGiven that no-one really knew what was going on in 1957, Jerry Lee Lewis did pretty well to snab 22 ticks! Something a little more recent this week, and BlimeX0r! Noel's House Party seemed like quality television, there was a sudden new trend for sparkly eyepatches, and the 'Tlimited straddling the number one slot (hur hur hur) for FIVE WEEKS! It must be 1993!
[Poll #862080]
*This had on it:
Somebody To Love (G.Michael/Queen)
These Are The Days Of Our Lives (G.Michael/Queen/Lisa Stansfield)
Calling You (G.Michael)
Papa Was A Rolling Stone/Killer (G.Michael)
It's a bit early in the morning for tickyboxen but s0d it.

Date: 2006-11-07 11:36 am (UTC)Enigma wrapped in a mystery baked in a meatloaf
Date: 2006-11-07 11:44 am (UTC)Verse 1:
But i'll never forget the way you feel right now, oh no, no way
And i would do anything for love, but i won't do that, i won't do that
Verse 2:
But i'll never forgive myself if we don't go all the way tonight
(etc)
Verse 3:
But i'll never do it better than i do it with you, so long, so long
(etc)
Granted these aren't things that make any sense when thought of as "doing for love", but then neither is the fadeout fodder at the end!

Date: 2006-11-07 11:57 am (UTC)I was referring to the bit in the fade-out (which is the catchiest 'that' ML refuses to do) and I shall REVEAL ALL at 2pm today!
meatloaf question. the answer is of course

Date: 2006-11-07 12:21 pm (UTC)I was singing 'Mr Vain' yesterday, much to my boyfriend's horror- I think this is what motivated me to put it instead of 'All That She Wants.' Fortunately I'm staunchly refusing to put iTunes on my computer or else I would by now have purchased most of this list with overdraft I don't have.

Date: 2006-11-07 01:08 pm (UTC)Surely his follow-up "I'd Lie For You And That's The Truth" says otherwise? Actually it's slightly ambiguous isn't it.
