The most baffling part is when he recommends the marching band cover LOSER by Beck. Which is something I can't even remotely imagine.

The Pride of Arizona are clearly all poptimists. One of them even refers to Yorke & Co. as The Radio Heads :)

A quote for the rofflehaus:

Paranoid Android" isn't really an appropriate choice for this kind of setting. It is a serious and progressive work of art that speaks to me as a person at the most basic level; it is not halftime entertainment.

Football games are for Top 40 hits from 10 years ago and generally grating and bad songs of all kinds.

One: Isn't OKC nearly ten years old now?
Two: Is the implication here than 10 year old songs are generally grating?

Anyway, yes, much roffling. I remember playing Earth Wind and Fire and Men At Work. (Also serious works of art!!!!)

That is fantastic. I'm all in favour of no one ever playing Radiohead at all, but for rather different reasons from the writer.

You mean they don't speak to you as a person at the most basic level?!? For shame.

Surely the first and last time we will ever see Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo linked together.

I know I used to have this as an MP3. If someone else doesn't post it I'll try and dig it up this weekend.

amazing true fact that i am not making up:

i work AT THAT NEWSPAPER, work WITH THE PERSON WHO WROTE THAT, was in fact THE FIRST PERSON SHE SHOWED IT TO, and WHEN SHE ASKED ME IF IT WAS GOOD, I SAID "YES, I THINK WE SHOULD PRINT IT WITHOUT CHANGING A SINGLE WORD."

if i die tomorrow, i can say i've achieved something.
