Item the first:

Of course the actual video for Solange's 'I Decided' would emerge the very next day after I post it here - and it's completely wtf and stunning and v probably the most amazing video of the year.

I mean...where do you even begin? It's just a genius concept, brilliantly executed. My favourite bit is when Solange and her backing singers duck in unison to avoid the water hose.

Item the second:

How about a gloriously smooth old-skool r&b joint as your SUMMER JAM 08? How about great lines like "I can't get you off my mind/You're like my favourite song/Just want to turn you on"? How about another endlessly quotable Weezy F Baby guest spot? How about a video featuring women with LASER DEVIL EYES? Ladies and gentlemen, Lloyd and Lil' Wayne's 'Girls All Around The World'.

(NB: Go buy Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III album it is TOTES AWESOME.)

Item the third:

Hey, it's Madonna releasing the second of the three good songs on Hard Candy. Video: PASS. Only when she's dancing can she feel this free, etc. Prissy sneer of "those are the people that did not amount to much at all" = the only good lyric on the album. Daily Mail website reports, somewhat excitably, that in this video Madge "cavorts with" Pharrell, which makes me wonder what they think the word "cavorts" means. "Fails to interact with at all," maybe.
