Yesterday I realised that New Order were probably my favourite ACTIVE band that I had never seen live (tho I expect a few of you here have had the pleasure) and I probably never will. Not massively bothered by this as I never had a big urge to do so and have done relatively well over the years on the seeing favourite artists live at least once front despite not really going to gigs that often anyway.

Tell me who your favourite artist you've never managed to see live is (note the artist must still be alive and gigging occasionally if not often) in Comments, cheers.

Appologies if this is out of place or a bit London-centric but I saw this and thought of this community. There's a book too.

I have spent an enjoyable half hour assessing the results of [livejournal.com profile] stevem78's Spice Girls AlBUM survey in an attempt to draw deeper ANALYTICAL MEANING from the data set.

First of all, I looked at whether Spice "works as an album".

I then looked at the votes of individual Poptimists, examining individual gaps - these were naturally more variable.

The next point of investigation is single vs album tracks - did the Spice Girls pick their singles right?

Finally, we ask the key question: which track is the most important on Spice?
